April 30 Gilligans?

I know we tried this before but, 75 and sunny Sat. 3 mph winds, so Nick, you can even come out:drink:. Charlie and I are talking about meeting at Gilligan, if anyone is interested. Had the Fountain out Mon. just running it for the first time on the river. I know its tough to get folks together, everyones got a lot going on. Just throwing it out. All these new boats around like to see them. The longer we wait the higher the gas will be.:boat:

Doubt it I'll be at Goose Bay all day trying to get the Searay cleaned and ready. Might stop by on the way back down to the island.

ciaoderhead 04-26-2011 12:47 PM

Hmmmmmm.

I ran up past Coles point Sunday. Might be worth going a little further this week:evilb:

seltzer 04-26-2011 02:32 PM

I was out yesterday in the fishing boat. Still a lot of debris in the river on this end. (Occoquan, Pohick, Mt Vernon)
How did it look further south.

My Addiction 04-26-2011 04:26 PM

I was out in the Fountain yesterday, Goosebay to Gilligans....their was a little stuff in the river. Hope that by the weekend, if we dont get alot of rain this week, it will be cleaned up. You shouldnt worry about debris.....you will probably be in a Sea Ray.:eek:

chuckels 04-26-2011 08:27 PM

Sea Ray ? With Bill

seltzer 04-27-2011 02:09 PM

Easy on the Bill jokes. :party-smiley-004:

Jpzaluski 04-27-2011 03:57 PM

Randy... swing by Tim's and pick me up. The whole boat with no motors thing is kinda complicating getting to Gilligans

Potomac Fever 04-28-2011 11:18 AM

turn around time change? or are you just doing more stuff??

You'd need the boat back first. Stopping by tonight on the way home

umm.. I borrowed one of your props when I was down at the fire house last night. Thanks!

LOL- J/K. I pulled that 270 Larson out of there and took it back to Port Tobacco. Andrew will be up the 2nd week of May so going to have him do my boat up before putting it on the lift (I have an offer on my RV lot so I may be liftless).

I heard Goose Bay has some new lifts in, thought they weren't putting any more lifts in down there?

Beak Boater 04-29-2011 01:07 PM

Still planning on going out, hope this latest storm didnt put alot of trash in the river again. Dont feel like tearing anything up this early.

My Addiction 04-29-2011 08:53 PM

noonish. or a little later.

Beak Boater 04-30-2011 08:07 AM

We should be out between 1:00 and 1:30 shooting for Gilligans around 2:00

My Addiction 05-01-2011 09:14 PM

Im sure ya'll had fun, wish I could have stayed out longer.

We had a great time at Gilligans, Seltzer, in his 30 Spectre, and John Martin and company, in his Sunsation, and Nick in his Active Thunder, we made it in the Fountain. All in all, a great time, could have been a little warmer, but it felt good to get out and run the boat. Seltzer, you left Gilligans before us, whats up with that not running with your fellow boaters, you werent scared someone would pull up beside you, were you?
Nick sorry we didnt get out earlier, your boat looked good, whos boat was popping yours or Bryans dad's?

My Addiction 05-02-2011 05:08 PM

Thats OK, It was windy and choppy when I got out, might have too rough for your Fountain :lolhit:
Bryan's dads, was popping as they were leaving the dock at Goose Bay. sounded like a bad miss.

Thats why we waited to come out, we couldnt handle it. When you made your pass, it must have still been rough where you ran, your boat was flopping from side to side. :evilb::evilb:

ThunderStruck53 05-03-2011 03:09 PM

I think the popping noise you heard was the 1071 Dad had installed over the winter....:party-smiley-004:

It was either that or the extremely thin air. The motor has a pretty wicked cam which is what it could have been but it ran like a raped ape. Wish you would have came out and played....

Byan, seriously?, I didn't notice a blower. But thats bada$$, you guys can play with me later.

marylandmark 05-03-2011 04:48 PM

I think Seltzer should buy this and start his own beach club for us:

11.65 acres
permit in hand for house & 190 ft pier
720 ft along the Potomac River
200 ft of sandy beach
50 year vinyl bulkhead

$600K-$650K on Banks-of-Dee right down the street from Chris Samuels (Washington Redskins). I think the owner might finance for the right person and terms. John- this is all you bubba!!!

I thought the popping noise you guys are talking about was Andys stomach rumbling. As you know my little boat doesnt have a crapper and Gilligans to Occoquan is about a half hour ride. So we had to roll.
