Rrba Radar Shoot
 
The Rappahannock River Boaters Association will be holding its annual Radar Shoot on Sat. June 25th. Course is open to run from 1:00-3:00. This is a free event to spectate or participate. Course is located apprx. 10 miles up river from Tappahannock :coolcowboy: :grinser010:

Closest ramp from that side is in Leedstown. Short run down river from there.

i personally am not too familiar with that ramp. i will try to get some information tonight and let y'all know. i do know some 32's have put in there.

Jason we used to bass fish that part of the river I have not seen anything that big there. I have seen like 22-24s. On high tide I think i would be ok, low tide I may be sitting. I thought a few more of the guys that have done in this run in the past would chime in

Potomac Fever is correct. i was told no more than 25' @ Leedstown. If high tide something bigger would be ok. I would not try 38'. 38s can launch at June Parker in Tappahannock but you would have to watch the tide also.

I launched my 36 cat at June Parker in Tappahannock and ran up to the radar run before. Was kind of shallow but was Ok at high tide.

Carters wharf is close too. Public ramp. I was told deep water @ ramp. Doesnt mater what the tide is, Should be able to launch big boats. Only draw back is lack of parking
