Aquapalooza?
Just heard that this years Aquapalooza is supposed to happen at Gilligans in early July. Can anyone else confirm? Anyone planning on going?
|
I heard the same thing
|
Same thing the waitress told us over there last weekend.

Thats no better than Tims I, As far as hangin in the water. That is a Searay event, who is gonna host it? I doubt its Prince William Marina... Is Newburg Marine gonna start selling Searays?:party-smiley-004:. :

Not excited about the deeper water part. Hard to stand next to your boat in the water all day. I enjoyed it when it was at Tims 2, until the storms came in. At least Gilligans is right downt he river from me. That is nice.

That's funny. I thought I was the only one that felt that way. No way would I go there for Aquapalooza. Tim's II is the only place that can handle that CF and make it fun. |
This weekend at Gilligans, will have barge anchored in water with bands, extra shuttle boats, if history repeats its self, their will be a big thunderstorm some point in the afternoon. Seems like it always happens.
|
Well, how was it?
|
Was just on the Prince William Marina web site, looks like about 50-100 people, 30-50 boats. I have had more at my house on the spur of the moment.
They have a big barge and a loader, they should fill 55 gal. barrels up with cement with a chain and float on them and put them out at Tims II and make the people tie to them when they raft up. That way they can space them for the water taxi to have lanes and they wont move when a storm comes, then pick them up and store them till the next year, but it wouldnt hurt to leave some out. Might need a permit to do that though. It could be made to work and be safe even with a storm but it will take a little planning, not just hope for the best. To many stupid people that think one or two lines out will hold 20 boats rafted up in a storm, or they go in the cabin and hide and have no idea whats going on outside. |
aquapalooza 2013
Have you heard about where auqapalooza 2013 is going to be for Maryland? I heard something about tims II, which would be awesome.
