Caravan to Martin
 

Curious if its possible to caravan to Lake Martin.
We will leave out at about 4 and hit 85 south..:D

Whaaatss UPPPPPPP..just finished listening to APBA factory one,the 25 ft Warlock took 1st,,29 ft 2nd..

We will have to wait for school too.Val will meet me at the office..i will bring boat to work..should hop on 85 south at Claremont ave..just in time for rush hour..we'll have to do the express lane..ha ha.:cool:

Speedbump has suggested a possible hook up point somewhere on I85 south of Atlanta. So, we may have a disorganized caravan fo half the trip!:rolleyes: I'll keep ya posted as I find out more.:D

A couple of other folks will be leaving from the Airport area around 2-3 or so (AliRunner, Olemissalum). Guess I'll find out today if school still lets out at 2:30ish. That would put us on the road 3 - 3:30pm....either way, I intend to have a cocktail as soon as we get to the HOtel!:D

We'll probably eat there around the hotel Friday....unless everyone is up for going out....the kids love the pool though so McDonald's is across the street.:rolleyes:

I have a heavy week..looking forward to running the Talon for the last time..Dylan will be ready to get out of the car by then..pool sounds like a good place for him..mom and dad will be ready to unwind.

What about sat on the water..picnic type lunch..what do you normally do?

We always picnic style on our boats sometime in the afternoon on these trips. We'll boat Saturday and Sunday and head back home Sunday afternoon around 2ish.

That would be awesome..any word on the final count headed to Martin..my cell is 770-757-4433..packing up and hitching boat up tonight.
The little one has been getting home at about 3:45..probably will be hitting 85 around 4:30 from Claremont Rd.
Has anyone checked weather.for the weekend??

The count still seems to be 12 boats going. The weather report for them is about the same as here...upper 80's to low 90's, chance of afternoon showers. Looks good!:cool:

Paige gets off the school bus around 2:55 so we hope to leave our house by 3:30pm or so. That puts us about 1 hour ahead of ya'll. If you and Tom are going to coordinate a ride down, ya'll call when you leave and we'll see where we're all sitting at that point. My cell: 770-235-7421

Oh but it is going to rain. I have a friend who knows a guy whos girl friend dated a fellow whos best friends cousins dad works at the national weather service as a janitor and his boss over heard a conversation about the big storms heading toward Lake Martin. So there...rain it will be!!
