Anyone from around here traveling South to the Lake Lanier poker run?

Giving it some thought, I would want to change all my trailer bearings and seals first. Hopefully going out this weekend to make sure I got the oil leak fixed. Do you know long the Lanier run is in miles? The lake doesn't look very big. But the place looks really nice.

Total run is maybe 60 miles but the lake has 58k acres of area. You can definitely see more lake and run around outside of the actual poker run route. Lots of people run around on Friday before and after the huge raft up as well.

The venue and event itself are top notch and the charity is really genuine.

Hope any and all of you can make it.

It does look like a good time and the lake looks large ! May just load up the wife and kids and head down for a mini vaca...

We're in NC this weekend, but plan on hitting the middle river / Kent narrows are next Sat if you're in the area.

Ill be heading down from Central NJ. Leaving on the Sunday before (7/12). Heading back Sunday 7/19. I have some work to do in the Atlanta area during the week and then to the lake Thursday.

I did this run last year and came away impressed with the lake, impressed with the venue, impressed with the organizers and impressed with the attendees. Just a great time. I highly recommend it.

A convoy could be a great way to make the trip. Even if its just on the way back.

The resort has outstanding family activities from horses to ziplines to a waterpark. I will be playing golf there on Tuesday/Wednesday before the event.

Bearings and seals have been changed. I guess I don't have any excuses not to go now.
