Default Potomac River Radar Run

It;s time once again on the Potomac to see "how fast is fast?" ThePotomac River Radar Run is scheduled for the 10th of October. It is at Timms II at fairview beach. It is free, come sign up and run your boat, and get a free t shirt. The reigning champion 388 Skater will not be back this year, so the coveted TOP GUN, is wide open. In the past the winners seem to walk away with some extra cash in their pockets, so you never know, We have new LARGE buoys, so the course will be very clear.

Fairview Beach Yacht Club has a mediocre ramp, it's about 1/2 mile from Tims. I've seen plenty of 30'+ boats launch there without problems.

The best ramp in the area is probably Hope Springs Marina in Stafford, a few miles up Aquia Creek.

You going??

Eric is going out today after lunch, he will let us know what the water looks like. Tom said a Fountain went out yesterday from Fairview to Colonial Beach and there was little debris.

The 388 skater Has always launched next to Ricks, But was very close. Was out Wensday by Tims 1 and power lines had a decent amount of wood floating around.
