As of now...

Who's planning on attending the Lanier raft up this Sat? I know that the Mrs. (DW) and I will be there, weather permitting...

Warlock 27, I now know what you mean about Warlock's hull having to be wet to really run well. I ran a strong 70+ @ 4900 rpms, w/.5 tank of fuel this Sun. No modifications yet, just sat overnight in a vacant slip from Sat - Sun.

kaamacat 09-30-2002 06:45 AM

After yesterdays great day :D I will be there for sure.

Ron. Rick had a blast yday (too bad we couldnt stay out a bit longer, but think he had something going after 2pm)

I think he's trying to figure a way to get off on Saturday. (dont know if he will head out with me, or on his). So my co-pilot position is up in the air unless wifey wants to change her mind and come out.

Bob

RedWarlock 09-30-2002 09:02 PM

As of yesterday,

there were several people coming from Allatoona, about 5-7 boats. But, you know how things change...

cdaddygreg@aol. 09-30-2002 11:33 PM

I plan on being there Sat. as well. May have to meet up as I keep her on thee Buford side though.

Seadated; Hope you can make it, I was planning on having a chat and a good look at your 32 fever.

Kaamacat; I know you have seen my "CASH BAR" so please keep an eye out for me. I'm not sure of everyone else's boats so you are my only landmark for the group.

Ole missalum; Hope you can be there to see my 29 and maybe take a test spin.

How're the docks @ Lanier Harbor?

SeaDated 10-01-2002 06:53 AM

cdaddygreg@aol.

The way things are looking right now, I will be on Lanier Saturday. I'm looking forward to meeting you up there.

kaamacat 10-01-2002 07:41 AM

cdaddygreg. Mine looks like the avitar (but bigger).:D , and as for docks I did check over at Baldridge, and it still looks ok there. Heck I may try it out myself. (Supposedly there is additional parking on the top of the hill there?)

SeaDated.....Where do you plan on putting in at?

Bob

SeaDated 10-01-2002 10:17 AM

Kaamacat

We will be putting in at Baldridge Marina.

cdaddygreg@aol. 10-01-2002 01:33 PM

Sounds great!!!

I plan on being in the water about 11 or 12noon.

Did we pick a spot, I vote for Cocktail Cove. I need the exposure for my potential sale on my 29'.

If not the Cove please send Phone#'s so I can call and find ya'll on the Lake.

Tom..I dont think you would like it..its very steep and will be busy if its nice..

kaamacat 10-01-2002 06:30 PM

Greg. My cell is 678-521-4643.

I think the starting place was gonna be down by the dam.

Bob

RedWarlock 10-01-2002 10:58 PM

Steep???

We're used to steep, but are there docks in the water?:p Karen and I use the service ramp at the marina on Allatoona, where they launch houseboats, and that's a steep ramp. But Karen doesn't want to have to "bow walk" to get on or off the boat. She's short, remember?:D Getting into the boat is one thing, but getting onto it is quite another. (She doesn't feel comfortable launching from the boat yet...)

Warlock 27 10-02-2002 04:28 AM

Yes there are plenty of docks in the water..fee is 4.00...it gets busy as they launch boats for the marina right there..why dont you ride up and take a look..take hwy.20 to PIB..turn right on PIB,go north to Little Mill.turn left on to Little Mill.follow upto it ends at a four way..turn left..go around bend and you will see it on the right..turn in and go all the way to the back..

kaamacat 10-02-2002 06:20 AM

Redwarlock. I don't know which side of the lake you would be coming from but, also give Baldridge a look (x15 of Rt400). Same deal there with docks available at the pump area. $4 fee.

PokerFace 10-02-2002 11:23 AM

There should be plenty of docks available at the Marina (Lanier Harbor) and we have slowed down some so it won't be as busy. Atlanta Inboard is having a demo day at the Marina that day if you want to see some new ski boats and Mariahs. Barkley

RedWarlock 10-02-2002 01:05 PM

Recon complete!

Bob, we're coming from Lawrenceville.
Well, I went up McEver to Aqualand, and came south around the bend to Lanier Harbor. And, as always happens:rolleyes: , the last place was the best option! We plan on getting there @ 10ish. Ron, that ramp's not steep, you should see the ramp we use a Allatoona!!! Now that's a steep ramp! (about a 35 degree angle)

Has anyone come up with a tie-up point yet?

Warlock 27 10-02-2002 05:23 PM

Pokerface

Barclay..are you going to come out and tie up with us??

We are also going to Tenn, oct.11,12 weekend..you may be getting ready to go to the Bahamas

PokerFace 10-02-2002 10:00 PM

Ron,
The boat is ready at Tal, so I think I will run it this weekend to make sure she is ready for the trip across the BIG pond. You are right about the Tenn weekend...I am heading to Florida on that Sunday. The Pokerrun.com Super Vee will be Testing this weekend as well. Hope to see everyone then.

Hey...great idea...anyone mentioning Atlanta Powerboat Club this Saturday will get FREE RAMP ACCESS at Lanier Harbor. Just tell them you are with the club and save $4.00. BarKLEY:D

Warlock 27 10-03-2002 04:27 AM

Thanks Barclay..you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Whos is driving the supervee..saw it up at Tal..?

RedWarlock 10-03-2002 07:04 AM

Thanks Barkley!!!

I appreciate the offer, and will definitely take you up on it! Drop by the raft up and say hi at least, or wave as you zoom by.

kaamacat 10-03-2002 07:07 AM

Pokerface. Thanks for the generous offer, and appreciate it. Sorry but Im on the other side of the lake.

So, you're gonna get that monster out on Saturday?

.......Warlock27. I may have the wife convinced into going after all. (although she used the words DO NOT and GOFAST in the same breath).

......SeaDated. Looks like if I am "dock bound" to get the wife in the boat, I should probably see you at Baldridge. And honestly, dragging that wetstuff on the bow aint my idea of fun either.

Bob

PokerFace 10-03-2002 11:28 AM

Ron,
I think you are talking about the Solarized Boat. Same Class, Pokerrun.com is currently birthed at Lanier Harbor. Andrew Moon is the driver, and the new owner/throttle is Jim Pupora, a new face. He keeps his personal boat (Python) here at the Marina, and the nationals will be his first race! BarK L E Y. (not clay):D :D

RedWarlock 10-03-2002 03:16 PM

Kaamacat...

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a governor on my boat!!! (or should that be governess?:p) I wish I had a dime for every time I've heard the words "DO NOT GO FAST!!! or even worse "SLOW DOWN!!!"

She is getting better tho...

Warlock 27 10-03-2002 03:19 PM

I would love to see it and meet these guys..oh..you too BARKLEY.

Will Dee be around with the little one..have'nt seen her yet..:D

cdaddygreg@aol. 10-04-2002 03:02 PM

Did we pick a raft-up spot yet?

I am assuming Cocktail Cove. I should be there around noonish as I am maybe the only person with a late night job.

I will check my post tonight about 2am so if there is a different spot someone please drop a line so I know where I'm headed.

I look forward to meeting everyone and hope we have great weather and a better time.
