I'll be out in my new toy this weekend. Gonna see how fast I can do an end-to-end in a REAL(cig) performance boat. Have some friends in town, we'll be in the cove most of the weekend.

White Top Gun w/purple/fuscia/blue splash graphics.

Don't think I'll name this one CASH BAR, maybe BALLS DEEP!

Greg. I'll for sure look for ya out there. If my 1st run out this year is good (Saturday) I'd like to be out for 2days. (Also gotta get up to the shop and pick up some exhaust flappers. Had Bill order some today, just to make DNR happy).

.......and who knows as the week moves on we may get more out there.

On the Cocktail Cove side? Or would Lanier Harbour be a better choice? :confused:

Tom. I'll get out tomorrow and check a few. I plan on going in at Baldridge(#1) or Mary Alice(#2). From what I know they are all open (some with ramps totally under).

Saturday will be Day1 for me. Not sure which will be day2 (Sun or Mon)

(I'm just hoping 1st time out is w/o incident..........)

Bob---We're gonna hit Wedowee on Saturday and probably Martin on Monday--if the weather holds. Maybe I can talk my navigator into a short afternoon trip to Allatoona on Sunday. Glad to hear your rig is coming along.

Gerry.......I also understand that yours is really running nice! (bumped into Tom up at the boatshop last week.......gettin' some details about the Fla trip.......poor Gig.....).

I'm kinda excited for 2003........engines fired right up, steering problem fixed from last year, although late. (heck when I met you guy's was the 1st time it steered straight). In-fact, I rebuilt the steering rams w/new seals because the tie-bar rams worked so well..........Even got a pretty new gps176 so I won't get lost.

Tom....Sorry, didn't get out today. I'm off tomorrow and will check Baldrdge and Mary Alice. (I'm 99.9% sure they should be fine, just because Lanier is only 1-2' over pool)..........unlike the Allatoona aquarium...:fish: :fish: :fish:

Cougar Cat....Lake Martin Rules ....Val and I have a contract on water frontage up in Jacksons gap...water is perfect....crystal clear and full.......we have fallen for that lake 100 %..hope by next summer to start building a house.

I need to vent...My GD MF job just f&^$ng informed me I'm oncall.
Now this sucks boys and girls. Now do say f*&k em and go or just stay at home. Again work sucks the big one. We were attemping to go to Martin but that's probably not in my best interest. Maybe,Lanier but I hate when other things dictate my options. I just needed to vent to people who desire the water as much as I do. And did I say work SUCKS.

Tom........I'd say all the ramps are good. Charleston, MaryAlice and Baldrige are real good. (strange to see those things floating in the water this year........lots of metal.........oh yea........DOCKS :D )

I'll try for tomorrow at Baldrige (before noon).......and possibly again Sunday.

Hey Rog--That does suck! We were out of town for the past couple of days--so I'll give ya a call tonight. I had to call work earlier and they said the 'toona was going to be closed this weekend????!!!??? Is that for real or did they just hear things wrong? If it's for real then Lanier is going to be INSANE.

Gig--Doing all 3 days at Lanier? We may try to get out there one day. When/where is everybody going? Best day? Best ramp? Times?

Guys.........Tomorrow (Sun) for us as it looks now. Vicky and I are gonna head out from Baldridge or Mary Alice. (but need to swing back there and pick our son up at 3pm quick).

Gonna get that lawn stuff out-of-the-way today, plus some last minute boat items.

Ron..Good do see ya out there today. (The boat looks great!!) ...........Sorry we lagged behind.......I had the "scream factor" going today.......(any time I'd get to 60+ that alarm would go off). :p

Picked up our son at 3pm over at Mary Alice, which was his first time out...........we voted next time the wife says "too fast" we translate to "faster-faster-and-way-faster".

And............other than that slight water leak (thank god for 1500gph pumps)....... the boat ran great today. My fault not double checking all the clamps first.

Ron. We're heading down to Orlando (Universal) that weekend for a week, so Hartwell is out. Also (if you wouldn't mind), send me a e-mail with any suggestions for staying in Savannah, schedules times....etc.

..........had some jetski behind me yday (before on plane), gee, wonder why they dropped back from my tail once I was up on plane. (If I had a dollar for every maroon out there.....$$$$). Sad to say the holidays bring out only the best :D skilled boaters.
