Question, are the Mid-night express boats still built from the same molds back then in 1986? Where is the company located today in Miami? Thanks!

Re: Midnight Express Forum

The original Midnights were taken from a 36' Cigarette. Back then the hull was left alone and the deck was changed. A bracket was used for 0/B installs.

When the new Midnight came about they changed the molds drastically. hull sides were raised 5" the floor was raised and the deadrise was changed from 24 to 22. The bracket is now integerated in the transom with live wells doors etc..and of course the entire boat has tons of new technology, toys, materials etc..

Midnight has again sold (recently) and they are under new ownership( awesome bunch  ) They also have a new 37 with a 11' beam. ( not the original mold) The new Midnights are nothing like the old.

Although I still love my 37.:D :D :D

Didn't the original Midnights have a 26 degree deadrise? My father in law has a 32' and I am almost positive it is 26 degrees. Were the 37's 24 degree and the 32's 26 degrees?

Enforcer2 06-22-2007 12:42 PM

not sure of the 32's. If you are interestd inthe mold I know where I can get it.

I was told it is the same mold as the apache/aronow 32, that was used for the 32 Midnight

Not really interested in buying the mold itself, but I am always interested in the history of these boats. Is someone currently using the mold to make boats, or do you just know who owns it?

molds not in use, they are for sale...........
