Name is Don and I am located at the 2.5mm on the Gravois Arm. North side of the lake. In the end of the big bay where the Sea Rays like to raft up. We usually have the flagpole up when we are at the Lake and the second flag is a white Cigarette flag.
Have a 1996 Cigarette 20' Son of a Gun, solid white in color, and sometimes you will find a White with Blue stripe Donzi Classic 18' in the boat dock. The Cig 20 is your normal 76mph Blackhawk 502MPI type of boat; the 18' Donzi Classic is still being sorted out but it has a 427 World Products SBC and either a Bravo XR, Blackhawk or a Bravo/Imco Shorty outdrive bolted to its tail. Had is up to 84 mph while still accelerating; but still trying to find the best handling combination at that speed in this little boat. Don |
Travis at Harrisonville, Mo. We usually stay at Sunrise at the 25mm.I love my cig and working on others also.:drink:

Is your nordic a mid-cabin? I saw one for the first time on the gravois arm by gentle slopes cove, I live right across the way from that cove. I also saw a closed deck 28 heat go by, I was interested in buying a nordic last summer but haven't seen one in person so I opted away from them. Gotta say, there are definitely some very nice boats on the water at LOTO. All kinds. Hope to start meeting some folks out there sometime. I2D |
Ofallon, MO and LOTO here as well Osage beach area.

Most likely, that was me (I don't have my cove names down yet, so not sure where Gentle Slopes is). I do have an open bow. Grey checkers, yellow and blue fade accents. Newly-applied OSO sticker on the transom. I'm very surprised that I haven't seen a single other Nordic on the lake yet.....especially since I've covered quite a bit of ground over the past 6 weeks exporing. I get quite a few double-takes from people -- so I'm presuming a lot of folks haven't seen the 28' Heat much, and didn't know it comes with an open-bow configuration. A nice couple in an Envision struck up a conversation with me at the Gas Hole, and were interested to see the Nordic.

The boat's been fantastic. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
I think I figured out where Gentle Slopes is (are?). We floated through later in the afternoon/early evening. If it's where I'm thinking it is it's a beautiful area...large lots...big houses..lots of grass to the water. |

No boat at the moment but live in Sunrise Beach on 5-41, just up the road from Frankie and Louies and work at Kelly's Port in Osage Beach doing Fiberglass/Gel. Hopefully we will be back cruising the lake by next spring if we find the right boat. And yes, many nice boats on this lake.
BTW, if anyone needs someone to come do buff/wax/detailing at your dock send me an email at [email protected] or call 573-216-3880. Very reasonable prices too. Sorry, can't do it if you are already a Kelly's Port customer, can't take business from the marina! Brandon |

Its for everyone. I'm not a customer and have never been there. Look in the poker run section. The thread is thunder at the lake loto. It is on friday the 27th. Sounds like they will have the helicopter shooting video and might be one of the magazines there to shoot some pictures.

dryden84, what make/model of boat do you have? I used to work for Kellys Port on the 7mm of the Gravois until they sold it and tore it down earlier this year. I Know most of the boats in that area.

Fish Company - one of my favorite places. Have you started visiting Buck's since he moved out of the state park (party cover area) to your area of the lake? I have not been up to visit him yet this year but was thinking of stopping their over shootout weekend.
I dont think the Hobson's have visited Bucks yet. exactlly where is it? In the same cove as Bulldogs? We usually use the Fish as a meeting point perhaps we can meet on the other side of the lake for a change. |

I will probably see you shootout weekend - we plan to run in the fun run. Not sure if we will eat at Big****'s or maybe come back down to Buck's since I have not seen Bill for over a year. |
We go to Frankie and Louies quite often. Plan so far is to be there thursday night and then plan to do the Fun Run on Friday as well. probally come back and cove out at the 31mm just past the fish.

LOTO !! Newbies
We are bringing the Raylar/AMF/Laveycraft raceboat with Brian and his dad on the sticks to see what a West Coast single engine V boat can do in the Radar. Its equipped with one of our Raylar HO525 496 packages and will see if we can rustle up some "Blue Motor" bashing speed! The boat will be at Shooters for the event and who knows where will end up hang'in everyday , its all new to us! Hope to see and meet a lot of fellow OSO'ers and have a great event aqnd weekend at LOTO! thanks for the Hospitality!
Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |
Where you staying ray?
|
Raylar, don't be stranger, if you need anything just let one of us know, I've been around LOTO for 35 yrs.
Look for a 35 Beak, that says Turkey Toy on the back, we'll be on the docks Saturday, it's going to be the best Shoot Out ever !!! |
Mentalpause, we have been to buck several time this year and it is just as good as before. The place is really nice, even has ac and indoor bathroom. Saw your boat last year at the oso party, very nice.
