how would one poker run compete with the MWBP when most on the boaters that ran the F&L's run are MWBP members.
Thats just sound stupid when the whole purpose of a poker/fun run is to raise money for a good cause. The people that run in the events just want another reason to take a long weekend off of work and go to the lake. |

There were only about a dozen mwbp boats running in the F & L Poker Run and the F & L run is normally 6 weeks before when the MWBP official poker run is scheduled. MWBP has done several informal group lunch runs. The new Poker Run is just making it more official. |

Just for the record, we decided to have the MWBP in July specifically in order to NOT compete with the F&L Run. Last I talked to him, the owner of F&L's was still in Florida, but he said nothing about his run or ours, and to be honest, I'm pretty sure ours had nothing to do with their decision not to hold the run.
