Take over... ?
I thought I heard that AB was given an offer from the company over in Europe..... and AB said they would pass on the offer. The Europe company could buy up all the AB stock and do a take over that way... maybe we should all help out and buy what AB stock we can!! Just my two cents worth.

That's not true. The company was founded in St. Louis back in the mid 1800's, and then acquired by the Anheuser family shortly thereafter. Busch family married into the Anheuser family, and that's how Anheuser-Busch came to be. Would be a damn shame to see on of America's greatest companies sold off.
Saw this today http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080625/...heuserbusch_dc Guess they are planning on rejecting the bid |
70 dollar a share offer today, AB likely to accept.
