Ramp near Captain Ron's?

Does anyone know where the nearest ramp to unload for the ShootOut is? Don't boat the area, so not familiar with the ramp situation. Thanks.

Not sure about right there in or near that cove, but right up lake at about the 38MM (about 4 miles) is a nice ramp at Silver Sands. Let me know if you need info about them.

I would just use the ramp at Public Beach #2. Its the best ramp at the lake that I know of.

FYI, if you look at the map Knot4 me posted, capts Ron's is right next to the Hurricane Deck Bridge.

Where are you staying?????

I've got a place on the Lake, but over 30 miles away. Thought it might be easier to load on a trailer. Where is public beach #2? Silver Sands isn't that far away either. Thanks for the help.

It is number 5 on the map. If you cross the Grand Glaize bridge heading down towards Camdenton, it is only a couple of miles off to your right. The Post office is right across 54 from the entrance. You'll see a couple of brown signs noting it is the State Park entrance. Best ramp at the lake, 48 hour free trailer parking, and long term trailer parking for $5/day.

PB2 is a nice ramp, but at least 15 miles from Capt. Rons. I just remembered there is a public ramp at the base of the Hurricane Deck bridge on the north end. And Capt. Rons is just around the corner from there.

If you're headed to camdenton on 54 the enterance to PB 2 will be on the left. Post Office will be on the right.

PB2 is a mile before you get to Party Cove by water, and it is about 18 miles from Capt Ron's.

Correct. Ramp/State Park off to your left, Post Office off to your right. Got in a hurry typing I guess...

there is a ramp about a mile past capt rons headed twards camdenton. Its on your left just past deepwater inn and right before you you cross the bridge. Doesnt look like the nicest ramp but its less then a mile from capt rons. I can look up their number later this week if you want it.

Captains Rons is at the 35 Mile Marker,,, there is a ramp about 3 miles away
The best one,,, for access is at the 12 Mile Marker,,,
It depends more on where you are staying and I can direct you to a specifc boat ramp

Yep sure is. Not sure if there will be much parking available anywhere close though.

Von Bongo 07-24-2008 09:05 AM

There is a ramp on the Niangua that is a state park ramp that would be about 10 miles by water to Capt. Ron's. Excellent ramp but it's pretty steep. They do have decent parking too.

Larry R. Gale Access - Roach
Hwy 54 to Lake Road AA to Lake Road AA-101D

It's number 8 on the map: http://www.funlake.com/marine/ramps.php

I have used Silver Sands' ramp before (39mm) and its a pretty nice ramp. By land its about 7-8 Miles from Captain Rons and 4-5 miles by boat (just outside of Laurie, MO). There is some parking there for big trailers but not a ton of spots (15-20) spots.

Its $5 to use the ramp (in/out)
