Stay at the Horny Toad or Four Seasons to be close. can the races be watched from four seasons? are there any other main places from shore to watch the races? thanks again |
If you happen to get on the water to watch, try to park down by Monkey Island. It's on the back side of the track where they make the long stretch run into the left hand turn. Had one flip right in front of us. Hope to see Bad Moon Risen again!

No you can't see them from 4 seasons, but you can take a shuttle to the toad or shady gators from the 4 seasons.
Best place on shore to watch from is Shady Gators. |

You will need tickets to watch from SG's or the Horny Toad.

I believe you can use the same weekend pass to get into both The Toad and Shady Gators...

Lakrat: Shoot me an email
Tried - and you don't receive emails on here.
So shoot me an email at [email protected] My wife and I are also attending and staying in that area. Also watching from land. Will have small boat. Ken Coble |
We enjoyed watching the races last year and wouldn't miss it for the world...hopefully my regular ride will be rigged otherwise we'll have take the wife's dancer....lol...I wouldn't think twice about watching from a smaller boat, the congregation of boats isn't the same as the shootout they are spread all around the course layout and it's very calm in comparison when the event is over....

As far as the roughness of the ride, I think it depends on whether you are going upstream or down stream. The ride upstream was as fun if not more fun than the ride after the shootout for us. |

Don't forget a good anchor, it was windy last year and a million people tried to tie up to us w/out an anchor. I had to start big leaguing them after we broke lose three times. The races are a great event for the lake. The wife and I enjoyed them more than the shoot out. Can't wait for them again this year!

Your nortech rigged? What are you doing with the whippled 525s?
Nope it's not rigged yet...been up at Advanced for about a month now and progress is moving very slow to say the least....Right now I'm not doing anything with the motors but I'm having Arneson ASD-7M's installed and have removed the XR's.... I'll start pushing this week to make sure it's done by the OSS races since there's no way it will be completed this week...:angry-smiley-038: Guess we will just have to watch the shootout from the wifey's 280 dancer...at least that's in the water... |
