Brush at LOTO

HOLY SHEETOE !!! That was some kind of challenge. Saw 4 boats being towed between capt. Rons and Osage ,Niangia arm alone Sat. Morning. Anyone on tear anything up?

baywatch 05-26-2009 08:26 PM

nothing like dodging telephone poles, railroad ties, and
2x4's to start the summer off. I checked my props on Monday morning and only had one little nic. I did have to clean out my drive showers and speedo.

I saw some guys running balls out, I am thinking they might have some surprises next time they are cleaning their boat.

PWRQWST 05-26-2009 09:21 PM

I just scuffed the port prop, but had a buddy trash a prop and maybe a shaft on a large cruiser, now that sucks..

redbud35 05-26-2009 09:24 PM

I never seen so much crap in the lake. Ran labbed props all weekend (left stock ones at home) without any problems.

mrquad1 05-26-2009 10:36 PM

coming from truman

:bsflag: they need to put up grates or screens from the truman lake im really tired of loto getting all thier trash!

Rebel_Heart 05-27-2009 12:29 AM

Boat stayed on the lift this weekend. Used the time for cleaning that never gets done during the year. Too much floating junk, should settle down in a couple of weeks. All that I heard about was jet pumps getting plugged.

Keytime 05-27-2009 11:07 AM

No problems for me that I know of. Did a lot of crap-dodging, though. Ran hard later on Sunday from toll bridge to Horny Toad with no issues.

sacaja 05-27-2009 11:49 AM

ran 7 hrs on friday, sat. left home got 10 min from dock-impeller out, got fixed ran sun, put up on lift had small curl on one 28' labbed prop-that sucks new props needed or fix one.

963b 05-27-2009 02:16 PM

I lucked out. Didn't tear anything up but I did see a deer floating that looked like it swallowed a 55 gallon drum. Hope no one hit that. I'm at the 38mm Osage , sure was a mess

thumper038 05-27-2009 03:06 PM

Tried to take kids tubing went too slow for them cause of the floaters went back home.
On the Big and Little Niangua.

Then what?

omerta one 05-27-2009 08:08 PM

I ran Friday PM and Saturday AM; short rides without incident but kept it relatively slow for the most part, you really have to pick your spots to run...there was trash everywhere I went. I would not go out in the traffic becuase I didn't want to be in a situation where I couldn't make an evasive manuever.

I'm really amazed at the amount of crap and the general disregard for those that have property and don't clean up the shoreline. I've amassed enough wood in the last couple of weeks to have a sizeable bonfire.

We try with the Amren UE / Realtor shoreline clean up we pulled over 22 tons of foam and debris from the lake this year and we always pull junk from the lake at our property but with the rain we have had over the last few weeks the wash in just from the shoreline not Truman has added all this mess. I do agree if everone would pitch in it would help keep our lake clean. :drink:

I met you a few years back at Dog Days and checked out your 50 Nortech.

Mentalpause 05-31-2009 08:17 PM

I just idled around over the holiday weekend - way too much crap floating. It cleared up Tuesday, weird after around 5 inches of rain Monday. Main channel stayed clean all week until Saturday, when it looked like crap again.

Well that is what he said, :bsflag:

My wife and I used to be a very small Velocity Dealer, I told Steve Stepp and Kenny to run away from any deal with him and Joe was glad not to have his calls on it anymore.
look me up on the water.
