That was an expensive dinner
Not a very good explanation as to why she sank.

Maybe tight dock lines kept it from staying on top of the chop?

A few minutes of sloshing around with their notorious low freeboard, and once those blower holes were under it probably didn't take long.

maybe a boot let loose:lolhit:

According to the owner the automatic bilge pumps weren't working. The boat was back on the water (not under it) on Sunday and nobody got hurt. Could have been a LOT worse.

On a 32' you have to always make sure the bilge pumps are working. I have two balls I put in the blower holes it helps while at the dock or beach, but I still keep a eye on the pumps ALL the time.

bummer dude, sorry to hear about the incident.

Wildman_grafix 07-19-2010 03:05 PM

The holes that are on a 32 are a bit deceiving. Fiberglass tubes run from the holes up and forward so that they are really about as high as the top of the sun pad. (At least on mine).

The rubs rails are known for leaking, even that over time will cause problems.

You think he changed his bilge pumps now?
