chopper ride
Right there at the LOTO toll bridge is a company that began quick helicoptor tours this year. Not a novel idea nor the 1st to try, but give these guys a shot.
The two pilots are Iraq vets in their early 30's and great people. I surprised my wife with a ride Sat night at sunset and it was a stunning view of the lake. Took us out over the channel and then over the out let mall. On over to make a pass over party cove and out over the park. Back around Horseshoe bend and pass over the dam for $200. Bout' a 25 minute ride and it was really a thrill. |
Thanks for the lead... may have to surprise my better half, too.

They are right in the parking lot of Paul's Supermarket on business 54.
|
My wife and daughter took a ride with them last year. They loved it and it makes for some cool pictures.
|
Do you have a number or info to get in contact with them? Sounds like a fun trip.

$200 is a bargain...
$200 a person would be more like it |
Here is their website

Tried to get my wife and/or son to go with me when I was there a couple weeks ago but both chickened out. Glad to hear the positive feedback on the ride. May have to do it in 3 weeks when I am back down.

Some of the best money I've spent as well. Needed pics of the house.

All the big talk about running cat boats and he gave us the Air Wolf treatment. It was a little scary with the doors off.... |

I'm always working on a boat.:evilb: |
Our shack is at the 45mm, and it is a shack.... but it's air conditioned and that's what counts.
He asked us what we wanted to see but our house was too far off the path. Besides, I've seen my house a hundred times. He took us over Back Waters and pitched it on it's nose.... it was real cool. Haven't been over 80 in a boat so can't compare the thrill of speed but it was so worth the money. You guys will love every minute of it, especially if you have something you want to go see from the air. |
