Best spot on LOTO?

What is the best MM to be at in LOTO? The best area to access all the hotspots/bars/restaurants and have the best view/best houses?

I have read quite a few posts about the area but have never been there.

This is a loaded question, there is over 2000 miles of frontage and the main channel is over 80 miles long.... In other words, there is MANY changes in the lake, type of restaurants, type of boats, type of people, etc... and to break it down would take hours...

Personally we are at the 17.5, we are near Osage Beach and for us it is the best area, for people watching, We are located in the middle of the bars/restaurant we enjoy. We are at the beginniing of one of the busiest coves on the lake and we love it.... But again, it is what we like...

19mm to 21mm. Lands End probably has the best view and is a very high quality complex. Its at the 19mm. The Ledges at the 20.5mm is also very nice. Some buildings have a much better view than others. I think its bldg 9 & 10 with the best view.

+1. Anywhere really from the 17-23 MM and you'll be in good shape to get just about everywhere by land or water. The partying and lake traffic slows down a little once you start getting to the higher #'s.

don't limit yourself to the 17-23 mm there are other great areas on the lake. starting from the dam on up the 47mm. the Osage Beach side of the lake will give you the most year round activities. I live at the 6-7mm and love it.

We always stay at tantara and love the location but I agree that up towards lands end is probably better

10 years ago I would have said get close to the 19MM but as I'm older and more sedate..... we like the solice of the queit side. We're at the 45MM and there's still a bar or marina every 3 miles and the water allows us to have a smaller boat and still enjoy a decent ride. It's all about where you're at in life and what you're looking for.
