Boat storage w/ launching

Anyone know of a place that stores the boat on land on the trailer & then will put it in the water for the weekend? I think Bergers does, but any other places?

I used Mungenast a few years ago for a couple months. Very good sevice. I know it has changed hands, ask for Dave Andersen. Not sure if he's still there after the changeover.

Bergers will, and if you use them, tell them you heard about it on MWBP and that they need to sponsor the site for all the work that gets thrown their way :)

All of the above... I looked around quite a bit when I bought my Scarab. Much of it will depend on where you want to be on the lake.

I think Otto was using mungenast last year for the powerquest. The time I asked him about it he said it worked out very well.

Joe Gibbs runs what used to be Mungenast. I think it might now be called Formula Boats of the Midwest or something like that. Joe is a good guy.

Dave Anderson left Mungenast before the changeover and is now running TowBoat US out of the same marina (Formula Boats of Missouri). The place is nice and clean and the service is great.

Where are you wanting to keep it? Will you have a truck with you when you come down? I've got some parking at my place.

Just looking at different options. Trying to strategize & keep the boat down there giving me a reason to get down there more. Bergers has a pretty good deal (in my $ range) that im leaning towards. Wife still likes table rock better but its just not very accomidating compared to loto. Towing it 3-4 hours with 3 girls is just getting old. lol.

I'm considering using Bergers as well this summer, B-Dig. Towing is getting old.

I'll wait till you decide so I don't take your spot. :drink:

Dont wait on my account, i may not be able to sell my wife on the idea. But talking to Bergers on Thurs it sounded like after the winter people start to leave in late April there would be plenty of room. If my lottery ticket hits i'll buy a place at the ledges & you can have Bergers. ;)

If you are looking for a cheap slip with launch access then consider All About Boats. Their marina is right off 54 on Passover Rd. and have plenty of slips available. My slip rent is cheap ($600/yr for 24' slip), as long as the annual amount is paid upfront they give an awesome discount. Got slips from 20' up to 40'. These are their rates in recent years:

Slip Size Annual Price 20% Off Year End Advance Price
10x20 $1,000 $800
10x24 $1,250 $1,000
10x30 $2,200 $1,760
12x36 $2,775 $2,220
14x40 $2,750 $2,200

I use bergers every year! The only thing that stinks is if your wanting to pull out on sunday and there is a line, they wont let you clean your boat off after they pull you out.... But I have waited on others to clean thers up as I waited... Still bergers is a great place! Had my brother move his there from glencove!
