Would the Quimby's book talk about all these places? I'm nervous deviating from the marked channel since that's all I know.
Also DNR will be out once you lock thru at Guttenburg. Not sure on your boat or your type of exhaust but try avoid attention and run with common sense in that pool as they can get thick and they will generally leave you alone unless your loud, or doing something stupid. |
I'm running Gattlin mufflers, so it's at least not wide open. They could still mess with me I suppose if they really wanted to.

Well I'll keep my eye out for you as we'll be up there over the weekend. I'll either be in my 288 Susnation or my 185 Checkmate Bowrider with a Etec hanging off the back.

Sounds good man. I have a purple/teal 25' Eliminator Eagle, dark tinted windshield. I'll have to try and get more info on the fireworks when i get there. |

This weekend was'nt that bad , you should see on a good night. Just saw this tread we saw u this weekend nice boat. Hope u enjoyed our pools. Next time I will stop & show u more of the river.
I havn't experienced the mayflies before, that was a first. I had my truck parked up on the perimeter road by the slips, and when I woke up sunday morning, it was completely covered like fur. Wasn't too many on the boat. I went and washed the truck and got them all off and went to the River Museum. Came back and there was a crapload on the boat. I was going to watch the fireworks and airshow but we put the boat on the trailer and headed out. Every boat on the water side slips were covered with those things. I did some research and found that they only last 24hrs once airborne, but the hatching could last a week. AJ was saying it was usually something that happened in May. Internet lead me to believe it could happen whenever the time was right. We'll be back down for Labor day weekend again. Maybe Hawkeye's run in September as well. |
