You find a new sled yet?

Let us know if you and Kathy need a lift. It is looking like I might need a navigator so I can find the place..

Looks like the wife and I will be going. Any idea what time the festivities start on Saturday?

No boat yet, looking for the right deal. I think we decided to stay closer to home and hit Larry's on the Lake and not fight the crowd at F&L's. It gets a little crazy during this sale.

My guess would be 11:00.

Yup, just checked their calendar and they are open 11 AM - 10PM this Saturday.

If it is too nuts we will head to Shorty Pants or Jolly Rogers.

Mentalpause 10-13-2011 08:01 AM

Jolly Rogers is having their closing up special this Saturday too.

I checked their site for upcoming events and all it brings up is a YouTube video. We may have to make a few different stops.

Did anyone stop at F n L last weekend? It seems like the lake is low for this time of year and was curious how shallow it was at the docks.

I'm guessing that everything under the bridge and the front few slip are probably mighty shallow. It was even shallow in the first slips at C Rons last weekend.

Ya, we stopped there for the Harbor Hop and it was shallow. Granted, we were on a 52 SeaRay so our draft was a bit more than usual, but we were stirring up some muddy water. I'd keep a close eye on your depth gauge... or just drink a lot and not worry about it! :coolcowboy:

Here's another question - any thoughts on the best place to watch football on Sunday?

Mentalpause 10-14-2011 08:36 AM

Shorty Pants.

Wasted Income 10-14-2011 08:38 AM

What do you guys consider shallow?

In my home marina, my depth gauge only reads 2.5-3 feet most of the time (on the IL River):hitit: (bottom that is, lol)

proboat-wes 10-14-2011 08:08 PM

someone about 4foot 9 lol

Griff 10-15-2011 12:47 PM

At full pool, the front slips at F&L's are only about 4' deep. They are probably less than 2' deep now.

It was a GREAT time and a beautiful fall day 75 deg. and almost no breeze. Place was packed. Tough to beat $2 calls and $6 pizzas. Parking was no problem. We got Lakeoz13's 33 PP in slip #1, shut it off put the drives up and walked him in.

Was that your 38PP at the dock? Beautiful boat. We got there at 11:30 and parked at the docks behind the covered slips. Had about 4.6 feet of water at the stern backed in. Place was already hopping at 11:30. Good time and a beautiful day.
