Poker runs in IL ???
#62
Update: The Galley at the Marina will not be open for buisness by May 19th so that will not be the last stop to see the hands and dispense the money. Sounds like they will try to do 5 stops on the water.
As in years past, not everyone that participates in the poker part of the run can physically attend the run (this year, I am one of those people). So, the organizer will be drawing cards for several people that have paid for their hands ahead of time that could not attend. I want you all to know this up front as to not think something shady is going on.
I am flying out to Clearwater, FL this weekend and will not be online past Friday morning so anyone that wants an email addy or phone number for the organizer please let me know and I will PM you his information. Otherwise, have fun on the 19th and I will check back in with how things went on the 21st.
Again, Saturday, May 19th, 11 A.M., in front of the Marina. First stop will be past the second bridge (Rt. 48) in the No Wake zone at the Eastern end of the lake. Additional stops will be determined at the first stop. Good luck everyone. Have fun and be safe. There are many narrow and congested areas on the lake so please take this into account when running from stop to stop.

There are a couple of stretches on the lake where you can wring it out. But at 4,600 acres, you won't be running hard for extended periods of time.

There are a about three places to run the boats hard, its not a very big lake but we have a lot of fun on it and usually end up in the one cove to hang out, I hope that eliminator and the other fountain show up...the lake is really easy to get to and the Marina has a really nice ramp and lots of parking!

Unfortunately, I can't make the Clinton Lake run. I'm scheduled to cover that weekend at work.
