Need to know if anyone has launched larger boats at the ramp just south of Lansing ia? I have a 38 footer I'm looking to launch there. I need to go there because we are renting a house boat in Lansing do a bachelor party. Thanks for any info I can get.

You could launch up in LaCrosse (very nice ramps) and motor South. Only +-35 river miles from LAX to Lansing and only (1) lock to pass through. Might take an hour to motor down there.

If launching out of LaCrosse be careful of the the WI DNR, they are thick this year. Got stopped about 12 mi south of LaCrosse and got the sound test & $177 fine...There should be enough flaws in his testing procedure that should get the ticket thrown out, but the hassle of dealing with them isn't worth it.
