Default 2013 Henry Yacht Club Poker Run

Just passing the word, HYC's poker run is this coming weekend Saturday the 17th. Sign in at 10am at the Landings at Henry harbor, first boat out at 11am and last boat in at 6pm. Entry includes lunch in Peoria and dinner/entertainment back at Henry(i believe $20 or $25). Not a huge run but you wont have more fun for the money.

So does it just run between Henry and Peoria or does it also extend back upstream of Henry?

Just Henry to Peoria and back unless they throw in a stop down towards pekin which i doubt but stops are announced day of. Like i said its not a long run but definitely a good time. I usually stop along at the beach in chilicothe or the gravel pit in lacon to burn a little day light and so does everyone else. I think last year was about 45 boats and slowly getting bigger

Cool. Thanks. I usually hang out in the pit just South of the bridge at Henry.

Be careful going into the gravel pit at Henry. I heard it silted in a lot with the high water this spring and you may not be able to get in there. See everyone this Saturday!

I've done this run for the past 2 years. Great time! Can't make it this year though, going to be out of town.

A few of us stopped at the beach just north of Chilli last year to hang out for a bit.

Where is going to be the best place to put in at I know there is a ramp right at the marina and one down river I know its shallow in the marina on a normal day and now with the water levels a little on the down side just wondering. Looks like great weather and going to be a good turn out.

I always use the public ramp south of the bridge with no problems.
