LOTO-moving docks?
I have a couple of lots on LOTO off of MM80 and I am trying to find a cheap dock to get started with. i have found several for reasonable prices that are a ways down the lake. are there rules to how you move a dock? like if I find one on MM 40 and decide to drag it by boat back to 80 during the week when its slow is there anything stopping me from doing this? or is this something that I will need to take apart and take piece by piece which would be a pain in the rear but doable.

I'm on the 87MM. Our dock came from the 7MM we hired 2 guys 2 move ours, all they did was put extra foam under the ramp and used two boats to push it up to me a runabout and a toon. 2 well with a swim platform. Took them two days to make it. You can call Roger and D and B Docks also he can help you. (573) 347-2327

You need to have an Ameren Dock permit for the property where the dock is moved to.
No regulations for actually moving it other than maybe daytime hours only that I'm aware of. |
thanks griff, that is what I have been hearing from asking locals also. I figure I will do it during the week while no one is tearing up the water

I just bought and moved a 12 slip dock 55'X80' from the 5mm of niangua arm to the 80mm. Did it with a champion bass boat and an aluminum sea ark. took 26 hours straight to do it. Had fun and drank alot of beer doing it. Night time between the 60-78 was sketchy due to extreme dark and shallow water, but we got er done.
