Where to stay at LOTO
I would like to take my wife and boat to the Lake of The Ozarks this year for vacation. Where would be a good place to stay that also has a slip for a powerboat that is in the middle of the fun. This would be our first vacation with our new boat and I would like to make it a nice time for her so she will want to do more traveling with the boat. She is happy at our place on the Tennessee River and I want to see new places.
Thanks AJ |
I like the TanTara. It's reasonably priced, lots of parking for the truck/trailer, ramp and slips. Also good food. Very centrally located.

Thanks AJ Camden on the Lake Lodge of Four Seasons TanTara Resort And then you might find a home/condo on VBRO |
It's whether you would rather stay at a resort or a condo, you could always check VRBO, there's lots of reasonably priced condos at the Lake.
All the places mentioned above are nice. |
I'd also add Land's End and Parkview Bay. Look for those condos on VRBO.
|
Best bet is to make as many friends as you can out there the first time you go, so you can stay with friends whenever you go back. Nothing like hangin with the locals !
|
Land's End is nice, pricey but nice. Stayed there last weekend which was the last weekend for the "off-season" pricing. Only way i can afford to stay there. :)
The Ledges is another large complex with plenty of room options & slips. Heron Bay is another option. |
If you are looking to be centrally located Tan Tara is a great option. Lands end and the ledges are great locations for Condo rental. Osage Beach is where most everything is at.

Been to quite a number of them, and hands down my favorite is Holiday Shores Resort. Decent priced, close to everything, nice private no-wake cove, and you get your own 3-story cottage! Nice ramp and covered slips as well. Their website does not do it justice, it really it's a nice place

It s way overkill if its just 2 of them though at $250nt. If its just 2 of you, I'd just rent a 1BR at Heron Bay off of VRBO. We stay there a lot also. Great friendly people at the Heron Bay complex. Try to get something in B or C Building for the best view. Great location by land and water. Check out Midwestboatparty also for more info about LOTO. Heron Bay is 20.5mm and Holiday Shores is 17mm. |
Griff, I'll be at Holliday shores all shootout weekend, I still owe ya a beer or two for helping with posting pics, lol. Look for me on the poker run, I'll be in my new 31' Scarab! The "old school" boat
|
If you like to be able to sleep at night, check out Robin's Resort. It's really close to Dog Days. They have their own launch, too.

Hey thanks everyone for the info this helped my wife says yes to this lake for our vacation with our 98 Warlock 27 World Class it is blue and white will post when we are coming.
Thanks AJ |
Camden on the lake is real nice, has slips for your boat and is surrounded by entertainment. Its also in a good location on the lake. It'll be nice to have another Warlock on the lake! :) Good Luck!

Lets see some pics of the Warlock! You'll love running it in the rough water of the lake of the ozarks!

www.redoakresort.com is right next to bulldogs beach house on the 33mm located in Camdenton by land. By water it is close to Capt Ron's, Larrys, Fish and co, Nauti Fish and I'm sure others I'm forgetting all within about 5 miles up or down the lake. Now none of these will replicate Shady Gators or H Toad but all are still a great time.

You can rent my place depending on the week you are going. Clear slip with a 12,000 lb lift, few decks, outdoor bar & shower. Close to a few fun bars (both big places and small dives) and a great raft-up cove. 2 ramps within a few miles of the house and plenty of parking for the trailer. It's near coconuts on the Gravois arm if you want to google the general area. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.
