Who Boats on Table Rock?
 

I'm headed to Table Rock the last weekend in June, and I'm wondering if there's any powerboaters there? I know its not LOTO but there's got to be some cool boats there right? Any tips on places to go, or good coves to hangout in would be appreciated!
I'm going with my boat and a buddies 272 formula. Thanks!

the swings & cow creek is where i remember most people would be. may have changed over the years tho.

what part of lake do you normally boat? parents lakehouse overlooks kimberling city bridge off point 7. havent seen the top gun yet on a weekend i have down there.

This one hasn't made it on the water yet, ran the 33OL on here for 5 yrs, I'm towards the other end of the lake, Crystal Beach

Grandparents live on the lake, (needles eye?) around the bend from the Shell Knob bridge/Pizza Hut dock. Used to go a lot in the 70's and 80's. Back then the only performance boat was a 30 Velocity called Blue Bayou.

The long cove at 21 get a bunch of boats, mostly wake board and smaller run abouts, & some HP boats thrown in, its just around the corner from the bridge

He finally came out of the closet and has professed his love for dong. His new BF loves boats. After the recent Supreme Court decision, they are going to get married....they are very excited. :bananalove: His lovers name is Felix. I suspect they will be in the market for a boat next year. It will likely be something FABULOUS, and super speedy. :boat:

I've spent a fair amount of time on TRL in smaller boats, staying at and launching at Big Cedar.

Where is a good place to launch a larger boat in the 28-33' range?

And just as important, this place would ideally have room to park the trailer and tow rig as well.

Ideally, we'd be able to launch the boat, slip it at the condo, and leave the truck and trailer parked for the weekend.

Lets hear it.

We have put in our 292 several times at the state park right next to state park marina. The only thing is the ramp is not very protected so if there is a good wind coming in it may be a little rough. No big deal though. Plenty big for launching larger boats and easy to get to.

The last few times at TRL we stay at Vickery Resort. The docks are deep in the same cove as state park marina and the condos are right on the water. I like it since you can see the boat right from the condo.

Vickery works out a deal with someone with a lot and we keep the trailer there. It was walking distance from the condo. Haven't been down to TRL in a few years though, but thinking of a trip this year.

You might check out Rock Lane Resort. It is on Indian Point. I am not sure how easy it is to use their ramp, but Indian Point marina is just down the road. We visit the Tiki Bar for lunch a lot. Fun place to hang out after the boat is put away.....

I use to stay on Indian point before I bought my place, launched my my 272 there, it would be tight with anything over 30'

It really depends on what you are after. Kimberling City is centrally located on the lake. It seems to me that different parts of the lake have different "feels" to them. One thing to keep in mind it how far you are from conveniences.

I looked in that area in 08 for a house to buy, and found a lot of over priced houses that were built in the 50's & 60's, so a friend of mine had a place in the Shell Knob area ( west end of the lake ) and that where I found my place ( foreclosure ) not much around there but nice, good luck.

Edit: very few private docks on the lake, mostly community docks ( 20 slips )

Yah yah...he is such a jokester. Come by Rock Lane, I'll show you his boat lift. it is 10 years old but never had the chance to lift his boat because it has never been running.

It ran fine all last year....I vividly recall you being a good Rope Monkey for me @ the Shootout and enjoying the ride. Its nice to see that you are keeping your boating "skills" sharp....since you no longer own a boat anymore.....as you are gay.

I launch a 42' Fountain A LOT (lol) from Rock Lane. No problems.

I've only been once, but it's the most fun I've ever had at a lake. We rented a house off a VRBO and rented a Mastercraft Navistar 230. It was a great time. Beautiful water.

Table Rock is my favorite lake so far. Bunch of weekend renters but easy enough to avoid.
