Lake of the Ozarks Engine Builder recommendations
I'm looking to freshen/rebuild or re-power my 33 PowerPlay over the off season. Who do you recommend at the lake or possibly in KC to rebuild or build new motors? I want to stick around 500-550hp with solid reliability. Thanks in advance for your advice.

13 oz Depends on whether you are wanting to break down the engines totally or just add on new/ improved parts. I have had real good luck with PDQ Marine, located at the Lake. ( near the Dam )
Dan, one of the owners, just "added" some horsed last winter and he is a certified Merc Mechanic. ( VERY meticulous with his projects ) Give them a call and discuss your changes... |
Thank you for the feedback. I will give them a call. I'll want a complete tear down. I've owned the boat for 10 yrs. I've put 350 hrs on them, had new gauges when I bought it. Previous owner estimated about 150 hours. I want to know what I have for sure. They are 454's bored to 468, dyno'd at 500hp.

13oz I have the same set up, had T420 blocks (454), installed 496 guts and crank. no dyno time, but I think i'm a little north of 500 hp.
Tell Dan, Shannon sent you, with the fountain. They did a complete Konrad conversion, new custom CMI exhaust, along with a bunch of minor stuff. |
You might want to pm ( Eddie ) on here, he's been at the lake for a number of year's, he's currently at Big thunder marine.

Myrick used to use Eagle Machine in Buffalo, MO when he was at Nauti. Not sure who he uses now that he's at PBC.

600 horses on each side would sure make it more fun!!!
