New 39 or 40 Motion

Rumor is Motion is working on a new 39-40' cat. All new design that is supposed to be very modern. Should be this year. Anyone know more?

I know they build a 40' already in quarter canopy form or race form.

The last I heard was that they were building a new 38 and 42 cat.

Just found this thread, any info out there about this 40'?, The race boat in the above pics

Yes, the 40 Motion pictured above is owned by Jay Muller from NJ. He is the Throttleman for WHM Motorsports. He races the boat as WICKED now on the OPA circuit in class 1.

Hi Shawn, Please tell us about you 40....We know you had a 35 that you had well dialed in.

We got some decent motors in the 40,homebuilt of course, 6 dry sump drives, run pump gas poker runs mostly, have never topped it out but its touched over 170 in less than a mile. Super nice riding boat.
the 35 was a hotrod with similar engines, ran into the 170's in about 3/4 mile speed run till we ran out of water and nerves, aint no telling how fast that boat was going. That boat would accelerate like a top fueler. It reminded me of my alcohol flatbottom. Had B max drives which was it's downfall as we kicked a drive or lower unit everytime it got airborne. Not sure where the 35 ended up,Darren Watkins was the last owner I knew out of the Baton Rouge La area. Sold it running 130 with some 502's whipple 3.3 blown.
Come to Clear Lake on the 25th and you can see the 40 in person, should be a great time
