how fast 30 with 225's
just got my new to me 30 with 225's.only pulled 78 on gps.thought it would be alittle faster.am i missing something.this is my 1st boat with twin outboards.it was very calm on the lake.should it run faster with some chop?thought it would run 83-85

You might want to measure your X dimension and see where you are at. It the motors are too low in the water that will also slow you down. Hope this helps Don |

The X dimension should be 1.5 to 1.75 above the running surface. What props do you have on the boat? How much fuel were you carring? How many people were with you? |

Thats 11% slip.. I'm not sure whats a normal slip ratio on a cat. I know I have mine down to 9% now and I'm not sure if I can do better.
