I just want to go for a ride in it. I think I only live a few miles from where it was built. The paint is awesome. Would buy it if I had the $$$$.

That's what I was told while talking with Randy, I assumed, at last yrs LC Poker Run. A lot of boats out there with very nice paint jobs, but the Speed Racer is my favorite. Possibly more for the theme than the paint jobt itself. Some might say I'm stuck in my childhood cartoon days.

JJ jealous isn't that attractive on you.

I'm amazed how quickly people jump to some neg conclusions.
First off I was at the factory yesterday and saw Randy's new full carbon epoxy fiber supercat boat. So I don't think $$ is and issue.
Speed Racer was a project for Randy. One of many, he has built like 11 custom boats in the past, and already has 4 other themes that he wants to do. They will all be MTI's and probably all 44's, so I don't think he is disillusioned. In fact its just the opposite. The boat has been for sale since it was built, with several cash offers for more than he actually spent on it.Which is not even close to the $1,200,000 RETAIL, number everyone keeps talking about But every time they came up he would change his mind because he didn't want to let it go. There is a particular nascar driver looking at it right now and word is Randy will probably let it go this time and start another project.

Can't wait to see Randy and Mark Kowalski run the new Speed Racer in OSS Cat Lite this season. They should make a great team, and one to beat.

You are correct Ron, 2006 OSS season should be awesome as a few new teams are stepping up to race on the OSS curcuit, it should be a banner year for all involved.
