Weight of a 39 MTI and trailer?

Illinois is giving a lot tickets for over weight trailers not plated properly. Any idea what a 39 MTI full of gas with Six drives and an aluminum Myco trailer would weigh?

40FlatDeck 06-19-2008 07:10 PM

Well it's not an MTI, but my 40 Skater was 9800 when it was picked up by the crane. My trailer MSO says 3400...

Hope this helps a little.

Brad
Well it's not an MTI, but our 40 Skater just weighed in at 9740 lbs full of fuel :cool-smiley-011:That Randy guy in Wentzville may know your MTI 4 sure .... Keep them boyz busy up there so they leave us the phuch alone:cool-smiley-011:
ITS A SKATER NATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad Zastrow 06-20-2008 12:38 PM

Thank you to the "Skater" owners. MTI guys are sleeping. LOL I was also told the boat rigged is about 8500 and full of gas should put it close to 10,000. Trailer I am guessing 2500. So a 14,000 trailer plate should be good. I just realized my plates are only 10,000 oops....

I would take it to the scales and get a definite weight. Weigh just the truck, then go back with the boat and trailer. I want to say ours is 12,500 boat and trailer, but it's an all carbon boat. MTI could answer you best without weighing it yourself.

Duplicate, my apologies to CrazyBoatTower.

What size fuel tank's ? I know you asked about the 39' but the 44' I run has big tanks (low on fuel)on a triple axel myco was over 13000 lbs. Jo

Wild 06-24-2009 07:31 AM

so what was the weight of the 39 and trailer

44MTI 06-24-2009 08:54 AM

Brad, just guessing I would say your a little light on all wts. I think 8500 is a minimum for the race boats, with the conversions and paint you've done probably a little heavier, Trailer will be a little heavier for sure. Just take it to the scales, run the whole rig through, then unhook and run your truck through and do the math.
I know my Heritage is heavier than a Myco and my Boat is heavier, but last time I weighted them in was like 15,700 with half a tank.

This thread is one year old. Anyway I am postive it is under 14,000. Carbon Fiber hull and deck, 200 lbs of canopy is gone. My interior weighs maybe 50 lbs all four Sparco seats. Aluminum Myco. I should run it through a scale though to be sure. You got me curious again.

Brad how come Ateco doesn't have your boat in its Gallery and no testimonial from you?

Brad Zastrow 06-30-2009 08:39 AM

Ateco has two of my boats on the home page of the website.
Powerboat Magazine did a great article about 18 months ago about my engines built by Ateco.
Right now Ateco is super busy and is swamped with orders for new engines. His engines are proving themselves to be reliable true horsepower.

Catmando 07-01-2009 10:47 PM

I tell you what, Bill hit it out of the park in Powerboat mag with his 700hp motor priced at less than $13,000! :drink: The next cheapest engine was Dean Gellner's 750 at $32,000.

Maybe he's got the 1050 Dominator figured out. I had one on my motor and it was a MAJOR PITA. Constantly died around the docks. Turned me off carb motors forever.

you guys are having way too much fun down there!! surely I must be living in the wrong country!!! lol

adk61 10-04-2011 07:39 AM

hey Brad, how are things these days? what are you running for power?

Brad Zastrow 10-04-2011 01:24 PM

Running twin Ateco 1150's. Fresh engines have two hours on them now. Boat pulls like a freight train. Almost scary how much torque it has a 100 mph. Sets you back in the seat.
We ran the boat Sunday in the River Shiver. Pictures and video here.
