Default Will Mystic ever build an outboards cat

.

Seems that the current boats are for the deeper pockets folks, when will Mystic build a 30 to 32 foot outboard cat especially when MercRacing has a plan for a 400HP outboard?

I cant see a 400hp, light weight, high revving outboard anywhere in the near future.

Has any cat builders used the Seven O/B yet?

http://www.seven-marine.com/technology/specs/

Then again, with them weighing 1100 LBS! I would think it would screw up the CG of a 30-32 foot cat....

We started drawing up a 32 last year but then got busy with the new 40 and some other projects. It is on the drawing board but not sure how far in the future it is at this point, it really depends on interest in a boat that size. I would love to build something like that, I just have to asses whether there is a market for it.

.

Maybe now that the 40 is complete, and new monster Merc outboards are in the horizon ( when were they ever not ), that Mystic can revisit this idea?
