Hey Frank! I was using the new lens... 70-200, 2.8.
Hope to see you in Sarasota- I'll be in the usual spot on the beach.

Yep, looking at the color, clarity and overall crispness, that is what I suspected you had used. It really is all about the glass, and you really did a great job, it felt like I was right there!

We will probably be at Sarasota (pits), Sat morning only, we have family in from NJ and NC that weekend. Mark (my son-in-law) is going to bring the Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM, last year we left if home and missed some great testing shots.

Jay great shots did you photo shop the lifejackets? LOL

That new lens is the bomb. It's so fast, it's scary. I shot about 1300 frames and less than 20 were out of focus. I love that kind of batting average.

Rob- I have a special photoshop filter for removing lifejackets!

No, she is laying on her stomach, you can see her leg (calf) toward the back of the boat. To each his own I guess.....

Almost looks like the paint is reflected in the water spray.

I think what you are seeing is actually a bit of a rainbow effect from the droplets. The next frame shows it a bit more clearly. But I may not be seeing what you are seeing.

I have had that happen, tho, but it's very rare- sun has to be in just the right position, I think.

look at the spray behind the boat, there is a little color there also, like a small streak,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
