Default Sarasota Suncoast SBI 2010 - PHOTOS

Rained all the way there this morning.
Rained all morning in the pits.
Rained on the beach for the first hour and a half I was there.

Then it stopped.
Then there was boat racing in Sarasota.

Here's the shot of the day.
View the large size here.

Clouds made the day a bit cooler than normal. That was a good thing, but the light was constantly changing and played tricks with white balance all day.

These guys all look good in any light.

They aren't as close as they look.
The camera can fool you on a photo like that because of a phenomenon called foreshortening. They were 100yds away from the beach.

My best guess- 20 ft minimum, probably more.

There were some birds on the beach, too.

And then there was this guy...
didn't seem to be too bothered by all the humans on his beach.
(big one is here)

I was amazed at how many people were on the beach early when it was still raining. And they kept on coming.

Sarasota has the best race fans anywhere.

Here's the sequence of the Amsoil spinout. Loved watching those two bang it all day- good stuff.
