Love this picture. The house that this restaurant/bar (Two Friends) is made from originally sat on the property that the Pier House is now sitting on. My mom was born and raised in that house. Her father was the Dock Master for Key West waaaaaay back in the day. What people pay big $$$$ today at the Pier House to be on the ocean and see sunset was my mom's backyard and the view from her bedroom. How times have changed. |

The colors in the photo really capture the feel of an element of Key West. It is relatively unprocessed- only a slight exposure adjustment. I had just parked at A&B and was heading for the parade and FMO party at Hard Rock... it was the first shot of the evening. |
Jay, do you have any pics of the corvette boat, Diamonds are forever, and the yacht docked together at night? That was a seriously insane scene going on.

No, I probly could have covered the docks a bit more that night,
but it was a long, non-stop day that started early for me. I walked by the docks, but didn't go out on them that night. It's actually a bit of work, mentally and physically, to shoot 2200 frames in a day. there comes a point, usually after my right hand cramps into a permanent grip... where I am through for the day. :et: Key West and LOTO are each like 3 events with non-stop activity every day and night. I know my energy levels and pay attention to what's in the tank, too. Gotta pace yourself. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5508/1...74dd878b_o.jpg |
