Smooth Ride Onna Beachy Day
Come on down, we gots plenty of room for everyone.
Here's a good example of the aerodynamic benefit of a jet ranger...
This is a 100% crop of a section from a panoramic shot near Ft Myers Beach.
We are a couple hundred yards off the beach and heading for the milling area at 60-70 mph.
The vibration-less ride allows for a huge improvement in detail.
Shuttered windows and landscaping are clearly visible in those high rise condos off in the distance.
Also, the sensor on this new camera is amazing.
With voodoo processsing, I can enhance slight variations of color and light in water (especially roostertails) and clouds.
Which are generally prevalent around boating events... win-win.
I first noticed this at the races- especially after a few laps of exhaust and moisture being thrown into the air above the course.
So, in this image you can really see this around the clouds. At first I thought it was noise.
But, if you look closely- the blue sky above them is clear. The air is warming up and the moisture is rising.
