Building an 88 baja 240 with a bravo and a 177 blown 468 on a tight budget, Like a price on the mayfair add on and will my stock steering gear from 88 be compatible with it ??. Boat is not comfortable past the high 60's so it is time. If you want to reccomend something else I am all ears.

Yes I did, but the steering is on the back burner untill we close on our new to us house. Finally got it floating and running good on the 4th of july. Maybe a winter project now but I did get the measurements:rolleyes::party-smiley-004:

Hi there,
Depending how much room you have to mount the ram you can go with a Mayfair by Hardin Marine full hyd. dual ram system (part#137-9401) for $3299.99 plus shipping. This system would require the ram to mount 19.5" off the crank centerline. If you do not have enough room due to your swim platform then you would need to upgrade to a space saver kit (137-9511) which would only require about 15.5" from the crank center line over to mount the ram. That system would run you $3799.99 plus shipping. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Brad |
Camp, Installed an add-on system on a 2000 Tantrum. Great system, Hopefully will run it to the helm this year.

What brand did you get?, lookin at mayfair&zeigler.....leanin toward mayfair for the better ext. lines. |
On my AT it is an Imco unit. The system I put on the other Tantrum is a Mayfair dual ram set up. I do like the way the Mayfair is attached to the drive. On the other hand I do like the way the the fluid transfer tubes on the Imco units are built into the steering ram brackets. Here is a shot of mine

Thanks! Great heads up on imco.....will have to look at their system....the less holes the better!

I'd like to see if the Mayfair drive bracket will work with the Imco rams. The Imco endcap is attached to the drive by drilling into the drive and tapping it for the attachment bolts.
