Re: LISA 50' Nortech
Any pix of Reds rig? Did Powerboat do an article on his new boat? Triple Yanmars if I remember.
WRINKY: I don't have the jing to own a Nortech u hoser :evilb: :D |
Re: LISA 50' Nortech
Powerboat did do an article on it when it had twin 440's. Red wanted more power so we re-rigged it with trip 480's.
I'll find some pix of it. |

I'll find some pix of it. Actually I think the guys may be more interested in pics of the engine comp. This pic was taken as boats milled prior to Sarasota PR two weeks ago. Red was there checking out the boats but did not do the run. I have known Red for 7 or 8 years now and I was to get a ride in his diesel setup but we could not get together on it before I left Sunday morning. He speaks quite highly of it. :D Bob |

NIIIICE! And almost no maintenance, relatively speaking. Well done!

Bob I believe he misread the post. |

Im working on a 80 plus mph 4300 with twins. A light layup should get me there. It will be close. Cant wait. Jeff
A 43' NT with twin diesel running 80MPH would be a great setup. The weight savings with Kevlar will no doubt make a difference. I hope they can do it. :D At Sarasota we ran along side of the Hustler for a while on the way to lunch. They were running steady in the low 70's. But then I had to go back to work and left them. Looked good tho and not out of place at all. :D |
Re: LISA 50' Nortech
I ran with Red from Miami to KW in November 05'. Nice guy. Daughter was sweet as well. I had never met him before that day but my original ride to KW (50 ft NT Warrior) decided not to run. Since I had just hopped a flight down to Miami at the last minute for the poker run, Red was kind enough to let me tag along. What a smooth ride. While not exactly the top end that Warrior has, it was a great ride. Like a Rolls Phantom on the water.

Re: LISA 50' Nortech
Jeff your boat was next to mine in rigging great long range low maintience set up.Unfortunately I'm a little old school but I built my first 43 2 years ago with tripple 625's with xrs and the boat ran 90 mph in any sea wheather or weight conditions they built a trip 525 xr heavy lay up after mine with slightly higher x dimension that runs 92 mph. This boat is the first kevlar 43 but we put imco extreme drives with boxes and word has it the 650 efi's will dyno at 660 hp.so the goal was 100mph without blowers x dimension is aprox 4 inches higher keep in mind 2 years ago there were no 5 blade props to break this monster out of the hole now we have 6 blade herrings.hope for 100 mph but might do alittle better.Due date is july 16th first poker run is fpc bahamas july 20th lets see what happens.By the way how do you like your rig?
