36 Cat Mufflers????
 

I had some CMI mufflers from my Spectre that I had CMI modify to fit the tails on my Nor-Tech. They caused some reversion on the starboard motor. What are you guys running for mufflers, and what has been the results?? I plan on doing the under water exhaust conversion this fall, but I don't want to lose 1/3 of my season doing it now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Were these the new Sound Elimination System CMI's? If so what were you running before and what is the exhaust size and cam overlap? These are one of the mufflers I am considering for the Black Thunder.

No they weren't the new CMI's. I had no mufflers before I tried these. Sorry I can't be of more help.

When I saw your rig the other day at Vermont Home and Marine I thought about this guys rig because they appear similar. I wonder if he's had any reversion issues?

3600cats run nearly completey dry through the muffler, some water, but not enough to worry about reversion... his stellings drop the water out the bottom of the tip before the muffler...

and he still isnt very quiet... :drink: :evilb: :drink:

My boat is quiet as a church mouse. :D
I'll be trying more water tomorrow. No reversion so far.

Do you think I have a diffrent problem Sean?? The exhaust tips are the only change from last year. Got some clear water on a closed cooling boat. Thanks.
