43 w/T 850's #6 Drives
 

What kinds of speeds could be expected with 850's and #6 drives on a couple of year old boat? What kind of maintenance items should be considered with #6's?

This was a '93 with 900 NT's
The only other couple of year old 43 with that power was the 825 Eickerts. It ran 96.
There are no older 43's with 850's that I'm aware of.

Well I guess the photo is bad but it showed 101.

Teri - you're right it was 825's but I never saw a pic that showed 101. I assume that Eikert's are strong engines, what kind of rebuild schedule versus the Nor-Tech 850? Where did you did you see that pic??

The pic of 101 was the NT 900. The 825 boat ran 96.
Don't really know about rebuilds on the Eickerts.
Our guys seem to go 250 hrs before the heads need anything and then another 100 or so for the long block.

Do you recall if the 825 boat had Herrings on the #6's to get 96mph?
