Jeff,

I hate to bother you with everything you're dealing with right now. But I seen some pics of your boat at the KW run and I'm really anxious to hear how you like the boat? Big difference from the diesels? No rush.

Thanks,
Nick

No bother, keeps my mind in other places. Thank you for the compliments. My KW run was the best run and with the best boat I've ever owned. On the way down it was nice on the way back 3-4's consistintly, with some 6's and then we hit some 8' hole's from Miami to the Pompano inlet where I orriginally launched with the A.T. group. The boat was awesome and ate it up. Nor-Tech did an awesome job, from top to bottom. The hull is their first resin infused vacuum bagged layup that while being lighter than my two previous 43hulls still has a nice soft re-entry. The rigging was excellent with a few nice added surprises, love the smi-stagger...Thanks Terry Sobo. The upholstry was done to my exact spec's in both cabin and cockpit. One of a kind 43V.. Im STILL sold on diesels/Arnesons and will do another one some day if speeds can get into the 80's. Even though this boat is lighter I just didnt want to go through it again and not reach those goals, so I opted for the Merc 700's/NXT transom assemblies with #6 drive. Ive never been sold on Merc, BUT..this package definately rocks. I averaged 1.57 mpg going down at speeds between 55-85, per smartcraft. Idled 700rpms flawlessly, handled 8 people in boat at 70-80 mph on way back from the Sat. beach raft up with still more punch on top end. A great all around reliable package in a well thought out boat that's easy to maintain, Thanks Nor-Tech. Jeff

Thanks for asking MarylandMark, dads hanging in there, I wish the weather was warmer so I could get the boat out of the garage and put in the water so I can take some pics of him behind the wheel, thats this weeks goal, pray I can do it. Jeff

Just found out today from the doctor that my POP has 2 possibly 3 months , but count his blessings. He also still wants to keep his kemo up and now wants to start radiation. He is not ready, nor like us all wants to give up. He looks like hell, but as I know him he will fight till he drops. He has been a great loving dad and sure have learned alot from him. Im going to be real busy over the next few months, so guys help me out, say as many prayers as possible to make it as painless as possible for my POP. Thanks to you all. Jeff and Sandy

Jeff,
I am thinking about you and your dad. Hang in there, I am hoping for the best. Hopefully, you get a chance to give him a boat ride.
