43 super vee vs Sunsation 43
Looking to move up from a 35 Formula. Looking hard at a 43sv and a Sunsation 43. Partial to the twin 700 package, but also thinking about triples in the Nortech. What do you guys think?

I just traded my 07 trip 525 43 NT!!! Loved it! 90 on a good day but ran flawless 4 the 5 1/2 seasons I had it!! The 700 boats I am told have been run'n 92/93 area! so they will B a bit slower than the Sunny! C my New Wife/boat thread right here in the NT forum!! Good luck!!:coolcowboy:

Nortech customer service is second to none. My advise is go Nortech
|
Ive had the pleasure to be on both..43 Sunsation with twin 600's and have owned 3 43's, last one with twin 700's. Both great boats, two different animals. The Sunsation will be smaller in all dimensions, cockpit, side to side width, cabin, over all length except engine compartment and weigh about 2-2500k less. It will get to 99mph as an average vs 92.8. and ride different as well. It depends what you are looking for..a corvette or a Masarati quatrpole :drink:

The craftsmanship is next to none on a Nor-Tech, its unbelievable the quality you notice just standing on one. Everything looks luxury but not gaudy, and refined but not plain. You're in TN, not TOO far, but still a hike up to Algonac, I'm sure Wayne would take you out on the factory F4, and Nor-Tech would definitely do the same.

As Jeff said, they are two different animals. It really comes down to what matters most to you in a boat. |

Always good customer service from them. I like the Sunsation, and I would also take a Corvette over a Masarati. |
Go NT the Sunsation is a nice boat but for me and this go's for all boat builders, I like the dash in front of the driver not all over the boat.

Nor-Tech is a true custom builder. The 43V will be bigger, heavier, have a softer ride, and be more luxurious than the F-4. Sunsation is a semi-custom builder. The F-4 will be faster on the same power, be a bit more nimble, and will be geared towards all out performance with some nice custom touches. If it was my decision to make, I would ask myself how I intend to use the boat the majority of the time. If I am a Poker Runner, I am probably leaning F-4. If I am more of a cruiser, overnighter, with the occasionl Poker Run thrown in I am probably going Nor-Tech. I wish I had the coin to have your dilemma! Not sure you can go wrong either way.

My deal, is drive both, then make a decision, look at all aspects, resale, ride, acceleration, top end, comfort, structural integrity, wiring, seat material, stitching, plumbing to and incl. sea strainers, ease of getting to maint. items,..list goes on. Good Luck. Jeff |

Going twins this time over tripps? I would have been out on Jassby's 43 a few years back had I made the trip to Diamondhead. Not sure I would have wanted to be next to him up front though in those side by side bolsters. He has a hard time keeping his pants up on a boat. :drink:

Here are some pics of Jeff J at the shootout at the Sunsation dock. Then pics of him getting chased down by a 27 baja just before he celebrated when he pulled away from him.:evilb: |

Both are great boats. I love the room the nor tech has but the dash on the sunsation is awesome!

He tries to get you to sit by him up there too - but that seat is for Sandy. I've owned the F4 and been on Jeff's 43 NorTech. For speed and poker runs I'd go with the F4. For all around boating, comfort and ride the NorTech would be my favorite. Factory support from both is excellent.

Have you made a choice on boats yet? Nor-Tech 427 is a badass boat too may want to check that out as well

Between the Sunsation vs Nor-Tech... Nor-Tech is a considerably better boat but it's probably a higher price point. Craftsmanship, ride, design, customer support, and resale Nor-Tech wins hands down. I have been very impressed with Nor-Tech's service.

What does the Nor-Tech 43 run with 850's ?
