34CC upgrade
3 Attachment(s)
Took my 34CC to Justin at Waves and Wheels to replace the rear facing cooler seat with a rear facing lounger with electric ram footrest. One pic is a rough schematic. Other 2 pics are a frame he already built to kick out the bottom of the current backrest 4 inches to get the proper angle for the lounger. frame will get glassed and finished. Hoping to be done around Xmas.

I had Justin implement the stereo 3 years ago. He also talked me into swapping out the old Clarion head unit to a Fusion UD750 which interfaces nicely with the Garmins.

Here is a markup of how the seat will flow. This should become my wife's favorite seat.

Great choice of music. :band:
Often, it's the small things that make our boats more 'user friendly' (and wifey happy too). Nice work. RR |
Looks Cool

Making progress. The cushion that goes below the cabinet door cushion and the new lounge seat cushion will be attached with wing nuts so it is easily removed for access to the batteries.

Frame gel work turned out great. The lines match the bolster seat lines perfect. They are stitching the vinyl now, matching the diamond pattern throughout the rest of the boat. Should be done by end of week.

Just noticed this and can't believe you didn't catch it. A Packers phone case on your boat?! :poopoo:

First glimpse at finished product. They have a few details to finish up after Xmas. Should be a great seat for the girls.:cheer: Next week I should get some more pics of the leg rest in different positions. The two leg rest rams are rated at 460 lbs each so should be good if someone decides the leg rest is a seat.

Looks great! Nice work.

Project done. Boat will go back on the lift next week. Kudos to Justin at Waves and Wheels. Great job. And a special thanks goes out to Eddie at Big Thunder who provided a trailer for the last 5-6 weeks and got the boat there and back. Great service from these two at Lake of the Ozarks! I highly recommend both of them.
Access to the batteries is still outstanding. the cushion above the storage area comes out via a couple wing nuts. Once removed there is great access to the back battery compartment. And there is a lot of storage under this set up. Girls will love it!:ernaehrung004: |
Have Justin correct that one battery box lid before you pick it up. Might as well throw new batts at it while he's in there. Or does this boat's charger not boil the pi$$ out of them like the Formula?
|
Batteries are fine. This charger knows when to stop charging. Plus this boat doesn't have all the extra crap on it that the Formula had drawing on the batteries all the time.
|
Check out the cool rear-facing seat conversion that Waves and Wheels tackled on John Tillery's Nor-Tech 340 Sport center console.

Came out real nice!
Kudos to whomever had the idea / vision. |
Wife informed me first time out this year she will not sit by the driver anymore. And she has held to that so far this year. Guess that makes it a success!
|
Interesting b/c seats beside the Captain were at a premium in the 4-5's on the way back from the Bahamas. :drink:
|
The angle on the seat keeps you tucked in tight. Grab handles on each side. Out of the wind. Under the aft part of the roof. Smooth ride since you are so far aft and great view out the back. But it is most appropriate for the girls. Wife is only 5'2" so it fits her perfect. Not so great for someone 6'.
