I have almost bought a Nor Tech and my mechanic drove it for me and said he had a hard time with it. He said the porpoise was terrible. For anyone not trying to sell a boat, is this true or not. They all have some porpoise but does the Nor tech 3600 really do it more?

I imagine porpuse would be better than the latter, you can turn the props out for more Stern lift and dip the k planes a little if needed. My last boat ran really loose and I needed tabs to control it but when I turned props out it behaved very nicely. Drive it yourself

Sorry to be so stupid. What does "turn props out" mean. Not sure I follow you. I know I don't follow you..........................sorry!

Facing back of boat looking at props. Spinning out means top of the props closest to swim platform are turning out away from center of boat. Turning in is top of props is turning in towards center of boat. Turning in pulls back of boat down causing bow of boat to lift. Turning out lifts the back of boat causing bow of boat to come down or run flatter

The blades in the cleaner or less disturbed water which is towards the chine of the boat do more work than the blades that are in the Disturbed water towards the center of the boat. Obviously this is for a twin-engine boat makes no difference on a single. Cats. Better ask them guys they're the pros

The 43 & 44 Roadster were known for more hop than the 36. Call the factory, see if the boat has had any bottom work done to it. There is some work that can be done to settle the hop. Also, depending how bad it is, you can drive through it with tabs etc.

Always fascinated by how fast and efficient them cats are but getting to much air under one. Whoa. Scary. Definitely some sience going under those things to keep em safe. good luck on your hunt.
