Nortech 3600 cat
No BS. What do the owners of the 36 Nortech cat honestly think a Number 6 36 will run top speed with 525s or 565's?
I have a 32B Skater I think I may sell and buy a Nortech.
We frequently use the boat for hanging out and the Skater is not the best match.
The small cabin and bathroom might be better for our needs.
Not looking for big power or blowers since I want to use it.

Just spoke w my connection at the factory. The 3600 was originally built as a bravo boat and the 1st couple original ones were 525's and bravo's. Unfortunately the bravo's didn't hold up in the snot, and were breaking so they went #6's. 525 w 6's light on fuel and passengers ran a solid 105 w a best of 108. The issue is throw 5 adults, fuel, cooler etc and it becomes very affected by the add'l weight. The boat due to it's weight and size needs to run 90 to be efficient. A 700 boat is the smallest i would personally go unless you wanted to throw some whipples on the 525's.

I built several of them with T/525’s and Bravos..Top speed I ever saw was 114 mph.. Most of the comments are spot on.. once you put fuel and people these boats struggle to run 95 mph.. T/700 Mercs they will run in the low 120’s ..stage 3 whipple puts them into the 130’s.. 850+ Hp makes it a fun boat!

I am good with the 100 mph with 525's.with number 6 with the bathroom, cabin and quiet exhaust.
It sure beats a Monterey or Chaparal. I am not ready for a sport cruiser yet. The outboards still do not hold up in the Cat applications.
I will list my boat for sale in the next several weeks.
