That's actually my youtube video so allow me to explain before folks complain about how close I was.
We were travelling through a narrow channel and there were boats all around and behind, I stayed close because I was dying to see what happened when he fired up the extra engines and knew he would pull away super easily.
Behind us a seafood lost a passenger which is what caused Emily to freak out. I know I was too close but had never seen a quad before and didn't want to miss it.
This was in Lake Simcoe Ontario and I believe Double R maintains that boat.

Cool video as long as the kid's hearing wasn't damaged!

Looked like he hit the throttles to get it moving, then let off then took off as if to let the props bite after the first bump of the throttles.

Default It was

I've seen many boats but this was as extreme as it gets, my throttles were pinned and he just disappeared. The greatest sound

Remember that video was shot from directly behind the boat...........I'd bet it is nowhere near that loud in front of the motors!

I had a guy with a 47 GTX with 1075's tell me the boat cost $500 an hour to operate (considering the 1075 rebuild costs from Mercury), so with 4 motors it is $1000 an hour! I realize some guys have gotten great at working on the 1075s and can do it for less than Mercury rates but that is still crazy money for something that doesn't actually FLY!
