Bent,
Your going to need a mirror for your hatch :drink:
Looks great!
I wonder if those Lightnings will work in a Flame? (width wise)

Looks exciting...

Dave,
I think so. Look at the 2000 Flame in classifieds. Looks like purple Lightnings on the motors.

Bent,
I think that's the prettiest 496 I've seen. I'll make a stab at the MPH, but I need to know what the motor dynoed to be accurate.
I have found out that 1 additional MPH on my Heat takes 17HP. Bobl gets similar results on his boat. So if you gained 100 HP, you shoud see an additional 6 MPH. 150 HP should get 9 MPH. 170 HP should of course get 10 MPH.
Good luck and keep us posted!
Regards,
Steve

I will be restesting my props and 1" spacer in 2 weeks and will let you guys know how it goes.
Regards,
Steve

Preliminary results indicate I picked up 1 MPH with the spacer.

Pulled the boat out, went straight to the shop and added the spacer. Retested about 4 hrs. later. All conditions the same except air temp was 5 degrees warmer at 85 degrees. This time it ran 65.8, occasionally bumping the rev limiter. It performed better in every respect. Now It 's out with the engine and install the Raylar kit. I'll document the results.

Back to back results :D . What did that change your prop slip to?????

Wow, that is good looking Bent!!! Hmmm......if you need a place to keep it for a few days again, I don't mind hosting it again. I think a little Red under my hatch would look good! LOL :D

Thanks Jimbo....

I am hoping for an 8 to 10 MPH gain .....It will proberly be closer to the 8 MPH though which will be fine.....

I am not a speed freak.......I would like to be able to be at 70 MPH or above whenever I need to be there

Nice find Steve....
Just one of those thing you just don't know until you try. Looks like it would work but the 496 is a bit taller and wider

Bent, I think I'll give Bob a call this morning and make sure he's keeping his eyes open on that boring road :D
