Nordic Heat
A buddy of mine is selling his 2004 Heat and has it posted in OSO classifieds. It is the yellow one. Can anyone chine in on what you think the price should be?? Is this too high??

Re: Nordic Heat
It does not say how many hours on the Boat.......But I think the price is a very good starter Price.......

Re: Nordic Heat
Regardind the price, I think he's OK. Sharp boat, loaded up.
The only "option" this boat doesn't have (or need with current power) is hydraulic steering. It is interesting that this 2004 boat has a 502 MAG instead of a 496 MAG. I thought the 502 Mag was replaced by the 496 in 2001. Not a problem, there are more aftermarket mods for Gen 6s, particularly if the new owner wants to modify. Just curious. Was this the original motor? Steve |
Re: Nordic Heat
MIght be a bit high based on options and also the ratio of list to selling price of my Heat. I had custom bolsters from Nordic, full hydraulic with tilt from the helm, 496HO, tabs, Lonseal floor, diamond plate engine compartment and I didn't get near 69 for it. I understand it's a list price, but I might lower it if I wanted a sale in a reasonable peiod of time. Shouldn't stop anybody from making an offer though.

Re: Nordic Heat
Steve,
See the above post, came with a 496 but he swaped motors with his old Baja. Very nice boat, Stays in a garage every day. It could pass for new in a show room. Could make someone a very nice ride. LLH Indy, Your right. LLH |

I understand. Did you run the boat with both motors? What was the performance differential, if any? What is he buying next? Steve |
Re: Nordic Heat
That is a beautiful Heat, I love the colors. I heard from the Nordic dealer in Michigan that Nordic increased the price of the 06 model line. That should be good for the resale on used boats!

Re: Nordic Heat
Linnie - if for some strange reason he gets a bite and the buyer does not want a trailer, let me know...I need a replacement badly. I would hate to by new with an upgrade looming in the near future :)

Re: Nordic Heat
Steve,
He test drove the boat with the 496. After he bought it, he towed the Baja to the dealer & the dealer did the engine swap as part of the deal. When he picked it up, he tested the 502 to look for leaks and did not have any. I'm not sure, but I think both ran about the same. I will ask him today. Shawn, If he dont sell the boat soon he may want to sell just the trailer. He bought a place on the Potomac and at low tide he can get the boat on. If he had a roll on trailer he can. I will let him know as well. Magic, we thought so as well, but have not had any calls. Maybe just need some more time. LLH |

Re: Nordic Heat
I can tell you that dealer cost on a 28 has gone up about $10k since the 2004 model year, all options being equal.

Re: Nordic Heat
This boat is mint, hardly ever used and catches a lot of eyes.
|
Re: Nordic Heat
I saw the ad for the boat on boat trader online.

Re: Nordic Heat
New 2006 replacement with similar options 496HO power & trailer will cost you $88k retail. Freight and dealer prep not included.
Significant material costs increases are driving the higher prices. We can thank our energy issues for this. How the government is convincing us that inflation is flat astounds me. |
