Steve,
The results from the P5-X 30.
Matt added abunch of cup and did a race tune I think is what they call it but what ever they did worked out great for my buddy Jason's boat. He ran the prop at Lake Powell this last weekend in 77-78 degree weather with full tanks and flat water and made consistent runs of 93.1-93.3 and is finally off of his rev limiter (barely) at 5800. Handled very well and he was excited about his cruise speed with a load as well.
Certainly seems to be the prop of choice :D
Dave
(note: Lake Powell is at 3600 foot elevation)

Dave,
Congrats to you and Jason. His boat is rockin'!
What kind of prop are you going to run at Havasu/lower elevations?
Regards,
Steve

Good question Steve...
If it wasn't so spendy a 32 or 33 of the same fasion would be nice to try. We usually go up 3" (sometimes 4" in my case) in pitch in general when dropping to Havasu. This keeps our rpm the same generally speaking.
That being said (and there are several other variables  ) based on those numbers a 32 would put him at 99 at the same rpm and the 33 would be 103 if he could turn it to the 5800 number. I feel very confident that he can break the century mark with the right prop.

Dave

Would sure like to sneak up on that new IMCO/Phaff Heat at some point :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

Re the Imco boat, is that going to be full interior and cabin, or a blank cabin like the Flame gear splitter boat?
The way Jason's boat is running, I'm sure you guys can sneak up on the Imco Heat, unless it's a blank.

Don't know about the interior. Bob may know.
Jason already disposed of a Teague (TCM800) Heat with ease (and with his old prop) so it would be fun to see how it would do against that one.

That IMCO Flame is an interesting boat. The weight distribution is interesting in itself. I would like to have the first canopied Flame with a big single and splitter. That sounds pretty slick looking (IMO anyway)

Here are a couple of pictures of the IMCO 28. Don't know what is planned for the interior.

The interior of boat is standard heat interior. It belongs to one of the guys that works at imco nev. He has a wife and kids so it still needs to be a family boat. The motor came out of his 24' hallet

Sharp boat,
I like the setback and tabs. It will be interesting to see how it runs.
